About the Author

I am the product of both a bus outreach ministry and a praying Grandmother, of which I came to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age.  Though my life has had many twists and turns since, I am persuaded more than ever that “He who began a good work in me will complete it until the day of Christ.”

At the age of 17, I joined the US Army and have since served in many austere environments around the world.  Professionally, I served as Country Manager (Afghanistan) for an International Risk Management Company, as well as Business Services Manager for an International Oil and Gas Company operating in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

I have over 13 years of pastoral experience.  As an avid Biker, two of those years were as the founding pastor of a Biker Church in Anderson, South Carolina.  I also serve as a Club Officer and Chaplain for the US Military Vets MC.  I have been blessed to of had the opportunity to attended several Bible Colleges and Seminaries, culminating in the completion of the Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership.  While serving as an Elder and Pastor of Outreach for Church 247, in collaboration with the Board of Elders, I was able to design and implement a program to enhance the emergency response capabilities of the local congregation entitled Safe Church 247.

My life has been richly blessed by being the husband of my wife Kim, father of Jennifer, Rachael and Joshua, and grandfather of 10 terrific grandchildren. Occasionally, I “try” to boast of having the ability to walk and chew gum at the same time!

But my greatest accomplishment is being able to be called a “child of God.”  I do not deserve God’s free pardon of sin – and I have certainly had my share of disappointments – but God’s Grace has ALWAYS been sufficient.  With that driving force in my life, I am determined to do what I can, where I am, with what I have, in order to defend the tiny little Pea Patch that God has entrusted to me.
